Amy Bobiney

My passion is to support, encourage and empower the people I work with. Whether you are seeking individual, family or child/teen therapy, I bring a supportive, caring and knowledgeable level of care to all. I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative approach in discovering specific emotional and psychological needs. I have a variety of tools and resources that support an individual, family or child/teen goals to reduce and manage symptoms. I have experience working with children, teenagers and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), low self-compassion, stress, life adjustments, reactive attachment disorder (RAD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), communication skills, parenting, bullying and self-harming behavior.

I am trained in evidence-based practices including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Repressing (EMDR). When treating anxiety, depression, low self-compassion and self-harming behavior, I utilize DBT and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). For individuals of all ages with trauma, I use Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy and EMDR.

I received my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wyoming along with my Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. My career experiences include; a therapist at Peak Wellness Center and a case manager at the University of Wyoming Family Medicine Residency Program. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, hiking, biking, wake boarding, watching my kids race their dirt bikes, snowboarding, reading and watching movies. If you are ready to make a commitment to bringing positive change in your life, I encourage you to take the first step.
