Licensed Clinical Social Worker
A Wyoming native, Russ was born and raised in Casper, Wyoming. After initially moving away from Wyoming to attend college he returned to complete his undergraduate degree from the University of Wyoming in 2007 with a degree in Social Work. Following his degree at University of Wyoming, Russ earned a Masters Degree in Social Work from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.
While he was attending college, Russ worked with people with developmental disabilities as well as working at a high school in Casper. After finishing college he helped to begin a program to work with people over the age of 65 with mental health concerns and then worked with people with substance abuse and addiction problems. After completing his Master’s degree in 2009, Russ served our veterans at the VA hospital here in Cheyenne. Russ worked with a wide variety of people, helping to ensure a better quality of life for them and their families. Russ describes his therapy style as eclectic with grounding in cognitive behavioral therapy.
At home, Russ and his wife are very busy with their two children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with my family, reading, and following the Denver Broncos and English soccer.
