With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Mary Ellen Sternitzke helps adults navigate trauma, significant life transitions, and challenging family relationships. She understands that emotional well-being often involves finding a balance between caring for the people we love and maintaining our own sense of self.

Her work focuses on helping individuals process difficult experiences, recognize unhealthy relationship patterns, establish healthier boundaries, and navigate change with greater clarity and confidence.

Dr. Sternitzke recognizes that maintaining meaningful relationships and protecting your emotional well-being do not have to be mutually exclusive. Sometimes healing involves learning how to stay connected to others without losing yourself in the process.

Dr. Sternitzke emphasizes solution-focused interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, targeted EMDR for trauma and anxiety and depression. She has completed training for the PSI/2020 Mom Professional Maternal Mental Health Certificate Training, EMDR Level II, and Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics II  (NMT brain mapping).
